Comedy, drama and emotions on one stage: The 15th Rang Aadhar Theatre Festival concluded recently at Bharat Bhavan. The eight-day long fest that was organised to mark World Theatre Day brought a wave of mixed emotions for the theatre lovers in the city. The concluding days of the fest staged plays like Zindagi Or Joke directed by Bansi Kaul, Khamosh Aadalat Jaari Hai by Pragati Vivek Pandey and Do Kashtiyon Par Sawaar by Gopal Dubey among many others.
The youth connect: “We wanted our young audience to connect with theatre. Undoubtedly, this city loves theatre and so we want to cater to the audience of all age-groups,” said Rakesh Sethi, organizer of the fest. Christina, a visitor, said, “Indian theatre has a lot to offer and the artistes here are also very skilled. I never miss such plays and I am a regular visitor now.”
